Max Verstappen has shared that he’s still in frequent contact with former Red Bull team boss Christian Horner, saying the two continue to speak during every race weekend. Their relationship, he explained, has stayed strong despite Horner’s departure from the team.
The Dutch driver noted that Horner played a central role in his rise at Red Bull, and the bond they built over years of success hasn’t faded. Verstappen suggested that maintaining communication feels natural given everything they achieved together.
Reflecting on their partnership, Verstappen highlighted how their collaboration shaped four world championship victories. He credited Horner’s leadership and support as major factors in the dominant run they enjoyed.
Verstappen also commented on Horner’s future, saying he wouldn’t be shocked to see the former team principal return to the paddock at some point. In his view, Horner’s experience and passion for Formula 1 make a comeback entirely plausible.
