Lando Norris set the pace in the second free practice session for the 2025 Las Vegas Grand Prix, delivering the quickest lap of the night. His time put him narrowly ahead of the rest of the field as teams continued gathering data under the bright lights of the Strip.
Kimi Antonelli impressed again by securing the second-fastest time, finishing just 29 milliseconds behind Norris. The young Italian continued to show strong speed in his Mercedes across the long-run and qualifying simulations.
Charles Leclerc, who led the timesheets in the opening practice, settled for third place in FP2. He remained competitive throughout the session and kept close pressure on the McLaren and Mercedes pair ahead of him.
Nico Hulkenberg and Isack Hadjar completed the top five, both delivering solid performances. Meanwhile, Oscar Piastri struggled to match his teammate’s pace and ended the hour down in 14th, unable to find the ideal balance in his car.
The session faced a brief interruption when a red flag was issued with just over 20 minutes remaining. Officials stopped running after a suspected loose manhole cover was spotted between Turns 16 and 17, prompting necessary track checks before action resumed.
