Paris Jackson has renewed her criticism of the team managing Michael Jackson’s estate, this time targeting the upcoming biopic Michael and raising concerns about how the estate’s money is being used. She argues that the project — and other decisions — appear to be benefiting the executors more than preserving long-term financial security for the Jackson family.
Her remarks mark the latest development in a growing dispute between Paris and the estate’s co-executors, attorney John Branca and music executive John McClain. The tension has escalated throughout the year as Paris continues to question their financial decisions and oversight.
Earlier in the summer, Paris filed a legal petition challenging what she saw as excessive spending on outside lawyers. She alleged that the estate’s use of funds was not aligned with the family’s interests, but rather served the priorities of the executors themselves.
However, her legal challenge suffered a setback on Nov. 10 when a Los Angeles probate referee dismissed her claims. The court ruled that her petition improperly attempted to hold the executors accountable for statements made in court — statements that are legally protected by privilege.
To add to the blow, Paris was ordered to reimburse the estate for costs related to the petition. Despite the setback, she has continued to voice her concerns publicly, most recently questioning the casting of Miles Teller as John Branca in the biopic and pushing back against what she believes is a pattern of self-serving decisions.
